Adventure Network International is a private company which has pioneered private travel to the Antarctic. It operates from Punta Arenas in Southern Chile during the summer months flying a chartered Hercules from Punta Arenas to its blue ice runway at Patriot Hills in the inland of the Antarctic near the base of the Trans-Antarctic Mountains. From the base at Patriot Hills the company operates several light aircraft travelling as far afield as the south pole.
