FALKLAND ISLANDS
2003 POSTAL HISTORY
In 2003 we arranged for a selection of modern covers to be posted to us from a variety of places on the Falkland Islands. this took the form of a survey to ascertain what was then currently available in postal markings. In 2003 there were 4 post offices operating. Stanley in the capital, Mount Pleasant at the Airport, BFPO 655 also at the airport and lastly Fox Bay. There was however a small variety of postmarks and different cachets being used at these places and all those discovered are offered below while stocks (often very limited) last. |
