AIR POLAROGRAMMES
| Air Polarogrammes
are a distinctive part of Antarctic Philately. The term is a mixture of the two words
Aerogramme and Polar and refers to a light-weight airmail letter-sheet with an attractive
design on the address side showing a Polar scene. Several Companies have now issued
Polarogrammes and these are on sale in various locations such as Antarctic tourist
centres, Antarctic Programme Headquarters and at some Antarctic Bases. The following listing records Air polarogrammes in order of issue. |
