These cards were issued by an Australian company called Smt Communications Pty Ltd and were useable in either New Zealand or Australia with switches in Melbourne, Sydney or Auckland. The company which was formed in 2001 specialised in calls to Asia and the Middle East. |

Note: This card has several minor alterations in the flag designs such as smaller white stars on the Australian flag and the addition of small stars to the Chinese flag. The spelling of Auckland on the reverse of the card has also been corrected. It is unknown if $20, $30 & $50 values were produced. |
***** SPECIAL NOTE ***** In mid August 2003 the Smartlink cards suddenly stopped working when it appears that TelstraClear pulled the plug on providing network services to the company. Their retailers in New Zealand and Australia have not been advised but it is suspected that Smartlink are no longer operating. |
