Landscapes.
Following on from the outstanding
success of the motion picture trilogy "Lord of the Rings" which was shot
entirely in New Zealand and the related series of stamps issued by NZ Post to celebrate
each movie, it was decided that the annual scenic stamp series for 2004 (The annual scenic
series started in 1972) should feature the New Zealand Landscapes as shown in the Lord of
the Rings trilogy.
The set of eight stamps features 4
different landscapes showing each as they appeared in the trilogy and as they appear
today. |
